3.4 WIFI

Blox has onboard Wireless Networking

  • Wi-Fi Standards: 802.11 b/g/n
  • Frequency Band: 2.4 GHz
  • Security: WPA/WPA2
  • Max Data Rate: Up to 150 Mbps (802.11n)

3.3.3 Configuration

3.3.3.1 grblHAL/CONTROL

Can be used with CONTROL https://software.openbuilds.com/, grblHAL WebUI https://github.com/grblHAL/Plugin_WebUI etc

Make sure to set grblHAL settings (CONTROL > Grbl Settings Tab)

  • $74=Your Network SSID
  • $75=Your Network PSK (Password)


3.3.3.2 BLOX

You can configure your BLOX to join a Wifi Network

You can check if you are connected, and manage the flow of your program accordingly

Supports mDNS Hostnames

Send / Receive UDP Broadcast packets to manage remote sensors and events

Using the Wifi network, you can syncronise local time on the device using NTP, and with valid Time, you can run Scheduled tasks on certain days/times

With an I2S Audio DAC, you can also use the Wifi network to stream audio files, or even do Text-to-speak using the Google TTS API
